Best groveler so far?
Hey Ben
Out of your favourite grovelers that you have reviewed so far, which would you say is your best choice and why?
Thanks,
Anton
Hi Anton,
Great, albeit tough, question! It’s a toss up between two with a close third.
The Cab Sav by Nick Blair and The Bear Essentials by Panda Surfboards are my two favourites. They are both performance oriented, progressive designs that allow you to really surf tiny, weak waves versus just get to your feet and get down the line. They are fast, agile and looser than the outlines suggest.Between the two, I think the Cab Sav grovels a bit better and the Bear Essentials handles slightly larger waves.
The close third is the …Lost R.V., which has a great design but feels a bit more stiff in tiny waves but can be surfed in larger, more hollow stuff.
