Home › Forums › Best Surfboard for My Situation? › Best "performance" all-rounder around 6'0 x 19 1/2 x 2 1/2??
Hi guys,
Looking for your thoughts on the best off-the-rack performance board with rough dimensions of 6’0 x 19.5 x 2.5. Round tail preferable.
Given that is wider than average for your stock standard performance board, I know this will bring the “all rounders” into play. I like the look of some of them (eg. Chilli Rare Bird, JS Blak Box 2), but don’t want to struggle to turn it in decent size clean waves (say 4ft).
I’m an intermediate, 39 yrs, weigh about 75kgs and my paddling fitness is good.
Looking to replace my current board: 6’1 x 19.75 x 2.5 with plenty of rocker. keen to bring it in a little (hence the suggested dims), but without going too nuts. I could reduce the width even more, but its just what I’m used to. If the shape/volume distribution works, than that’s an option.
Other option is going custom (which is what I’ve done the last few times anyway).
thanks
I’m interested too? Have you gone for a BB2?
