Hi Benny you have some great knowledge on surfboards for my situation can you please help me out here. By performance small wave shortboards I’m kind of talking about boards like the rare bird, v2/v3 rocket, neptunes ride, js evolution/revolution and js blak box 2. Those are just the boards I have in mind though, do you have a suggestion for what I get? Thanks
Hi Bengerrans, I like the V3 Rocket and the Chilli Rare Bird! Between the two, I feel the Rare Bird is better suited to the smaller end of the wave range.
Have you ridden these models? What performance small wave board would you recommend to Bengerrans?
Just my 2 cents worth on this one, the js blak box is a sweet little number, with speed to burn in them smaller days on the points and places like d’bah.I did however find it a bit sluggish and hard to get going in smaller surf along Tugun beaches and the alley through to Lacey’s, I do agree with Benny on the rare bird , I have heard nothing but great talk about it’s performance in smaller surf
Great to hear your take, thanks Philthy!
Hope this helps you Bengerrans.
