Home › Forums › Have You Ridden This Surfboard? › Channels Islands Sampler or Lost Short Round
Hi Guys
I surf in the UK generally up to head high, I want t get my wave count up as I’m struggling to catch waves
Once I’m up I’m fine, admittedly my fitness isn’t what it was 🙂
Anyway I’m looking at getting either the Channel Islands Sampler or the Lost Short Round.
Does anyone have any ideas which would of these boards would suit me better?
I’m hearing a lot of buzz around the Sampler but wonder if it might be a bit too high performance
I was hoping it was an improvement on the Dumpster Diver as I rode one of those a few ears agao and really loved it.
Also thinking the Lost Short Round would be good as it has a wider nose and a lot of float of under the chest.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
I’m 6’1″ and 88kgs
Cheers Nick
Anyone?
Hi Niick_uk,
If you are looking for higher wave count and the fitness is not what it used to be, I would be looking at more volume so the Lost Short Round would be my choice. I’m in a similar position in terms of fitness/wave count and had a go at a Lost Puddle Jumper which was fantastic. Lost boards are brilliant, just my opinion anyhow.
