I am 5’10”, 19 years old and 150 pounds, I am an intermediate surfer who surfs at least once a week. I live right by Ocean City so I do most of my surfing around there and delaware. I also surf Florida quite a bit (Daytona, New symerna, Ponce Inlet) so it would be great to have a new short board for there as well. I am unsure whether I should get the DX1 or the Skeleton Key. I am leaning towards the DX1 but I am unsure if I will get the most out of that board considering where I surf. I am looking for a high performance shortboard that I could take out when Ocean City gets good (4-5+ and hollow). If anyone has any preference on either board or believes I would be fine riding the DX1 in Ocean City please let me know. Also if anyone has an opinion whether the epoxicore model is worth the extra buck I would appreciate your feedback.
