Anyone out there ridden the vangard or nano by firewire?
Hi hi hi Simba,
I haven’t ridden either board but I have heard good things about both. In fact, a gentleman I spoke to today mentioned how much fun he is having on a Nano.
Has anyone else ridden a Firewire Nano or Firewire Vanguard? Let Simba and I know what you think!
All the best,
Benny
I had the 5″4 vanguard weigh about 67kg 170cm great board great when it was clean heaps of drive went through turn real nice not so good in the onshore though you know epoxy but was still ok 2 to 3 foot max about 4 foot after that you want more surfboard and found it with no drive in like weaker 4 to 5 foot surf back on a Xanadu pig round tail much happier better all rounder for a go to board good luck I’m sure thier both awesome whatever way you go:-)
I actually struggled with the VG. I’ve tried two different sizes but it just didn’t click. More than likely Operator error. In the right conditions, small and clean it was so much fun but in everyday waves it was fifty fifty. If I couldn’t get a clean paddle in it was all over. I’m sure it works well for some people though
