Tagged: one board quiver san diego
Im an intermediate surfer 6’1″ 195lbs. I am looking to get a one board quiver for San Diego surf. I go about 5 days out of the week. I wont go if the conditions are horrible but i do go most days. Can you guys give me some advice on what boards to get. So far i have come up with the Lost v3 rocket and the Rusty Dwart. Is there anything else that will do well in all conditions?
Thats a pretty solid choice. I haven’t had a chance to surf that particular board but from all the info i have read about it, it seems to be a good board for small to slightly over head. Curious to what volume your are going with. I am the same weight and im trying to decide what volume to get my next board. I am currently on a 32L Tomo EVO for the 4-5ft days and a 40L JS 107 model for the 1-3ft days. I really want a shortboard to cover the +6 days but not sure if I should go more or less than 32L. Only problem is im having to get a really longer board to cover the 32L demand. Im 5’10 so 6’2+ length board is more than i want.
I would say around 32L but air on the side of more just in case you need the extra float. I know for my weight, 34-40L is the sweet spot but im 6’1″. Im getting the board in a 6’2″ so its 37L
