Home › Forums › Best Surfboard for My Situation? › Which board – Santa Cruz
I’m 6’2/200lbs. Surf 2-4 days/week and consider myself an average surfer. Goofey foot, so cursed living in Santa Cruz! =). Mostly riding backside, but occasional lefts. Primary break is Steamers (1st peak, middle peak or indicators depending on size/crowds). Also surf Pleasure, north of town (Waddell, 4 Mile, etc.), Mitchells (but can only make about 1 in 5 waves from outside to beach, to fast backside), or beaches south of town.
Currently riding a 6’10” Haut Pumpkin Seed and use that board everyday, but looking for something a little more fun, but that can still get into waves like that. Considering the Lost RV, CI Weirdo Ripper, CI Average Joe or the Ebert Po. Curious what board you think might work best. Generally surf beaches when head high or under and reefs up to double overhead.
