One guest called it the “best holiday home in Australia.” This makes us blush….but might it be true? This is Beach Pads: Ocean Farm – Gerringong, Australia.

Introducing Beach Pads: Ocean Farm

The house is nestled in a rainforest, in the middle of a 350 acre farm, overlooking the ocean with nothing else around. Nothing except your family, friends a couple of cattle and Emu, the friendly bread-eating emu.

In summer it rocks because…well, have a look at the pool. In Autumn it’s great because of the clear cool nights, warm days and offshore winds that as surfers, we all look for.

Winter is when the fireplace gets a workout and the gourmet kitchen comes into its own. Settle down, chat about the days adventures and check your watches; it’s only 10pm, time for one more bottle of red.

Surfing – you can walk to Werri Beach, which is great in Summer and any time it blows from the West or NW. Werri is a swell magnet that picks up most available swell and always seems to have a wave. Or you can hop in a car and head to any number of breaks and secret spots all within 15 minutes. The coast is yours to explore.

Other – we are close to the quaint town of Berry – a popular tourist destination, the beautiful Kangaroo Valley and close to supermarkets and the rest of the time you can walk on the expansive farm or along the coast or swim or explore or do nothing except hang out in the day bed.

Staying at Ocean Farm

The rules: 8 people in comfort, 10 people max. It’s a nice house – if you break anything in it you pay for it (and that can get very expensive very quickly). So if you are after a bucks party style place then maybe Ocean Farm is not for you.
